Fujisawa (Mr. Izuuchi))
I work for the Finance Department of Fujisawa City Hall, and now part of my duties include setting up Wi-Fi and creating signs for visitors from overseas so that they are able to fully enjoy the history and food culture of Fujisawa.
By highlighting the good points of Fujisawa and encouraging more people to visit I hope to revitalize the local economy and the city itself.
Please come to Fujisawa – there is something for everyone here, whether it’s taking in the view of the beautiful Mt. Fuji, relaxing at the beach, walking the dog or playing at the park.
With Kamakura close by, it is easy to spend a whole day in the area. In Enoshima, there are light-up events throughout the year including lanterns in the summer, candles in the fall and winter lights in the winter, which always attract a lot of visitors.
Town planning and community developments are not something the City Office can handle on their own, and they require the cooperation from the whole community to make things happen.
I hope to make this town a place that both residents and visitors can enjoy. The best part of Fujisawa is its coziness and small town atmosphere. I hope that more people will come and discover Fujisawa.
